First ‘Internet of Things’ platform established

TEHRAN, Feb. 08 (MNA) – Iran University of Science and Technology has established first ever educational platform of ‘Internet of Things.’

UST is the fifth university worldwide which is a pioneer in research and teaching of ‘Internet of Things,’ and catapults Iran as the 20th country which actually considers the modern technology. The platform will bestow the boon of connectivity virtually to all objects to the internet and will made connected objects capable of receiving commands through communication networks.

The technology was indigenized by native ventures. The Iranian version complies with the international standards of quality and conduct and is compatible with telecommunication platform of the country. IOT is a modern technology which makes possible sending and receiving information to humans, animals or things through internet or intranet. It defines a world where all inanimate objects have a distinct digital identity of their own which enables computers of programming and managing them.

The platform director is Mani Kordjeri, of Golestan Negareh Co.
